Proton Prevè


Proton Prevè (code designation P3-21A) will be another sedan prepared by Proton, after Inspira, and will soon be in the market.

Proton Prevè is 4543 mm long, 1786 mm width and, 1524 mm high, while the wheelbase is 2650 mm and the boot capacity is 506 liters.

As the engine is concerned, the offer will be 1.6 liter petrol engine with 80 kW/109KS and 150 Nm, and 1.6 liter gasoline turbo with 103 kW/140KS and 205 Nm.

The transmission will be available five-manual, seven-speed CVT transmission and transmission Protronic.

Depending on the engine and gearbox, Proton Preve will reach from 170 to 190 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 9.6 seconds to 12.5.

Full Lunar Eclipse in Malaysia (10 Dec 2011)

Firstly, I am so happy that I was able to shoot the stages of the Full Lunar Eclipse in Malaysia.
This was the 2nd one for the year of 2011 (the 1st one occured on 16th June 2011).
When it happened on 16th June, it was too late at night (01:00am) and it was too cloudy.

But this time, I managed to shot this marvellous phenomenon and combined the shots to see the phases of it.

NATIONAL DAY OF MALAYSIA...



Today, for the 53rd year, we celebrate the National Day of Malaysia.
This day is for commemorating the independence of the Federation of Malaya from the British Colonial rule.

Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj announced the independence of Malaya from the British on 31 August 1957, at Stadium Merdeka.

The Formation of Malaysia
The Federation of Malaysia, comprising the States of Malaya, Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore was to be officially declared on the date August 31, 1963, on the 6th anniversary of Malayan independence. However, it was postponed to September 16, 1963.

The formation of the Federation of Malaysia was then announced on September 16, 1963 as Malaysia Day. The nationwide Independence Day celebration is still held on August 31, the original independence date of Malaya, while Malaysia Day is a public holiday only in East Malaysia.

However, this has caused some minor discontent among East Malaysians in particular since it has been argued that celebrating the national day on August 31 is too Malaya-centric.

It is decided that starting this year, 2010, Malaysia Day will be a nationwide public holiday in addition to Hari Merdeka on August 31.

Burj Khalifa - The Tallest Building In The World - Is Now Open...


DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) -- Dubai opened the world's tallest skyscraper Monday in a blaze of fireworks, then renamed the half-mile-high tower as Burj Khalifa.

Long known as Burj Dubai -- Arabic for "Dubai Tower" -- the building rises 2,717 feet (828 meters) from the desert. The $1.5 billion "vertical city" of luxury apartments and offices and a hotel designed by Giorgio Armani also plans to have the world's highest mosque (158th floor) and swimming pool (76th floor).


Its backers wanted the skyscraper to be a monument to the boundless, can-do spirit of Dubai -- one of a federation of seven small sheikdoms that make up the United Arab Emirates.
As officials opened the tapering metal-and-glass spire with fireworks and multicolored lights, they unexpectedly announced it would be renamed Burj Khalifa, to honor the Abu Dhabi leader who is also president of the UAE.

Thousands of cheering, clapping spectators watched as a tally projected on huge screens at the opening ceremony revealed the tower's most closely guarded secret -- its height of 2,717 feet. That made it more than 1,000 feet higher than the skyscraper known as Taipei 101 in Taiwan, which at 1,667 feet had been the world's tallest since 2004.



Besides an observation deck on its 124th floor affording 360-degree views of the entire city, Burj Khalifa is home to the world's first Armani Hotel, luxury offices and residences, and a variety of other sophisticated leisure and entertainment facilities. Burj Khalifa will ultimately be the place of residence, work and leisure for a community of up to 12,000 people.

PERKARA YANG ANDA TAK TAHU TENTANG TELEFON BIMBIT

Tahukah anda bahawa telefon bimbit anda sedikit sebanyak boleh membantu dikala kecemasan. Banyak perkara yang boleh anda lakukan, antaranya : -

1) NOMBOR KECEMASAN - Sentiasa ingat bahawa nombor kecemasan untuk semua telefon adalah 112. Jika anda dalam kecemasan dan berada dikawasan tiada liputan untuk semua talian telefon bimbit yang anda gunakan, cuba dail nombor kecemasan 112. Ia boleh digunakan walaupun di kawasan yang tiada liputan dan lebih menarik lagi, ia boleh terus didail walaupun papan kekunci telefon bimbit anda dikunci ( Keypad lock )

2) KERETA TERKUNCI - Pernahkah anda tertinggal kunci kereta dalam kereta dan kereta anda ketika itu terkunci dari luar. Mesti anda lakukan pelbagai cara untuk mendapatkan kembali kunci bagi membuka semula kereta anda. Jangan risau, telefon bimbit boleh membantu, tapi bagi kereta yang menggunakan system penggera ( alarm ) sahaja. Caranya,cuba anda hubungi seseorang yang berada di rumah. Minta dia ambilkan kunci pendua kereta anda. Kemudian pegang telefon bimbit anda dari jarak kira-kira 30 sm ( satu kaki ) dari kereta yang terkunci itu. Minta pula keluarga atau teman di rumah menekan punat ' ON ' pada kunci pendua kereta dan pastikan dia menekan dengan mendekatkan pada telefon bimbitnya. Pasti kereta anda tidak terkunci lagi, malah ia boleh dilakukan dari jarak beratus-ratus kilometer dari tempat kereta anda berada. Kerana itu juga, penting untuk anda menyimpan kunci pendua atau meminta orang yang anda percayai untuk menyimpannya. Penting juga penggunaan telefon bimbit dalam keadaan sebegini. Kaedah ini memang berkesan kerana beberapa orang telah mencubanya.

3) KUASA BATERI TERSEMBUNYI - Mungkin ramai tidak tahu, telefon bimbit yang telah kehabisan bateri masih boleh digunakan dalam keadaan kecemasan kerana ia mempunyai fungsi untuk menyimpan bateri tambahan. Bayangkan jika bateri telefon bimbit anda sudah terlalu lemah atau mati sedangkan anda perlu melakukan panggilan penting atau berada dalam kecemasan. Telefon bimbit jenis Nokia didatangkan dengan bateri simpanan. Untuk mengatifkannya, tekan kekunci ' *3370# ' . Telefon bimbit anda akan berjaya dihidupkan semula dan skrin telefon akan memberitahu telefon tentang penambahan kuasa bateri sebanyak 50 peratus. Kuasa tambahan ini juga akan dicas semula bila anda mengecas telefon bimbit anda .

4) TELEFON KENA CURI - Bagaimana jika telefon bimbit anda dicuri. Anda boleh menjadikan ia tidak dapat diaktifkan dengan menekan nombor siri yang terdapat di telefon bimbit anda, sila dail *#06# dan 15 digit nombor siri telefon bimbit anda akan tertera di skrin. Nombor ini adalah unik untuk setiap telefon bimbit. Catatkan nombor siri ini dan simpannya di tempat Selamat. Bila telefon bimbit anda dicuri, anda boleh hubungi pusat servis telefon bimbit anda dan berikannya kod nombor siri tersebut. Mereka kemudiannya akan mengunci system dalam telefon bimbit anda dan sesiapa sahaja yang mencurinya pasti hampa kerana walaupun kad simnya telah ditukar, dia tidak akan berupaya mengaktifkan kembali telefon bimbit tersebut. Jadi, walaupun ia dicuri, namun sekurang-kurangnya anda berpuas hati kerana si pencuri takkan boleh menggunakannya ataupun menjualnya.

Lovely Story on Human Relationship

One day a man saw an old lady, stranded on the side of the road, but even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her.

Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so. Was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry.

He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was those chills which only fear can put in you.

He said, 'I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan Anderson.'

Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire.. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt.

As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid.

Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. The lady asked how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped. Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty, who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way.

He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, 'And think of me.'

He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.

A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn't erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan.

After the lady finished her meal, she paid with a hundred dollar bill. The waitress quickly went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, but the old lady had slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin.

There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: 'You don't owe me anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I'm helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: Do not let this chain of love end with you.'

Under the napkin were four more $100 bills.

Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people toserve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard....

She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, 'Everything's going to be all right. I love you, Bryan Anderson.'

Alien-like Squid With "Elbows" Filmed at Drilling Site

A mile and a half (two and a half kilometers) underwater, a remote control submersible's camera has captured an eerie surprise: an alien-like, long-armed, and—strangest of all—"elbowed" Magnapinna squid.

In a brief video from the dive recently obtained by National Geographic News, one of the rarely seen squid loiters above the seafloor in the Gulf of Mexico on November 11, 2007.
The clip—from a Shell oil company ROV (remotely operated vehicle)—arrived after a long, circuitous trip through oil-industry in-boxes and other email accounts.

The SkyWalk over Grand Canyon West is Now Open....

THE SKYWALK, is the latest tourist main attraction in Grand Canyon West. The cantilevered walkway, which is made its media debut Tuesday, is a mere 4,000 feet above the bottom of the canyon. It opens to the public on March 28, 2007.
It cost approximately $30 million to build over a couple of years.


The open-air skywalk extends 70 feet out from the rim of the canyon, where it's anchored deep in the rock landscape. It will be open from dawn to dusk, and the price of admission is $25 per person. As many as 120 people will be allowed on the bridge at any given time; each will have to wear special shoe covers to prevent slipping and scratching.


The skywalk and Grand Canyon West are owned and operated by the Hualapai tribe, which is hoping for an economic boost from the new landmark. The site is in Arizona, about 70 miles northwest of Kingman, and about 120 miles east of Las Vegas.


The U-shaped structure can safely withstand 100-mph winds from eight directions and an 8.0-magnitude earthquake within 50 miles.


Most people will go out onto the skywalk to look down. Here's an unexpected view, looking up from below the glass platform. The 2-inch-thick glass floor is a joint effort of industrial giant DuPont and manufacturer Saint Gobain.
